The performance, conceived, choreographed and danced by Daniele Ninarello, inspired by reading “The logic of sensation” by Gilles Deleuze, where the philosopher addresses a number of issues and perspectives by examining the work of painter Francis Bacon focusing on the Figure, Its isolation, the material that surrounds it, the deformation, the hysteria and the muscular effort that the body does to address space, a body that expands and contracts to pass through , making visible its forces and feelings. During the research and creation raises a reflection on the abyss of space that the man constructs to measure its own, a place where one must learn to live, a place to love and hate, that space made ofcracks from which escape. “Man Size” wants to tell with the body , how the man try to use the outer space to transform the inner space, focusing to the emotional experience of this transformation that becomes an illusion. The performance is a path that reflects the attempt of a deep listening within the body and mind of the dancer that track specific intentions to develop in his room, balance, stasis, deformation, emptying, the escape. Here the man is isolated, objects that have remained in space become possible escape routes. His dance becomes deformed, with the intent to find an alignment with what is around, a dance of arts that seem hypnotized. La performance, ideata, coreografata e danzata da Daniele Ninarello, prende spunto dalla lettura di “Logica della sensazione” di Gilles Deleuze, in cui il filosofo affronta una serie di temi e prospettive esaminando i lavori del pittore Francis Bacon, concentrandosi sulla Figura, sul suo isolamento, sulla struttura materiale che la circonda, e sullo sforzo muscolare e organico che il corpo compie nell’affrontare lo spazio per evaderlo, rendendo visibili le forze e le sensazioni che lo animano. Man Size vuole raccontare con il corpo, un’esperienza emozionale sulla trasformazione che lo spazio esterno, recipiente di storie, induce sullo spazio interno che si fa anima pesante, e viceversa. Si affronta così una danza deforme, una danza intenta a trovare un allineamento con l’intorno, una danza di arti che sembrano ipnotizzarsi nell’ arrangiarsi con fatica per guadagnarsi un angolo comodo in cui restare ad osservare per agire.
